Shauna McConechy (@outinc) and Jason Dumont (@280ParkFan) DESCRIPTION: We are thrilled to be having Shauna McConechy and Jason Dumont join us for this Toronto Lotus User Group event. Jason Dumont is the Program Director for Messaging & Collaboration Client Strategy. His responsibilities include defining the future roadmap for on premise and cloud based deliveries of Lotus Notes, Lotus iNotes, The Notes Application Browser Plugin and the newly introduced IBM Connections Mail. In his previous role Jason was the Business Unit Executive responsible for Sales Enablement for the Lotus brand worldwide. Jason has been with Lotus and IBM since 1991. A frequent speaker at business and technical conferences around the world, Jason has published numerous books and articles ranging from technical industry publications to the National Football League & NFL.com. Jason holds BS degrees in English and philosophy from the University of Connecticut. Shauna McConechy is a specialist in social business and collaboration at IBM, targeting the basics of communication and interaction within the 'new world order' of social networking. Previous to being a recent addition to IBM, Shauna was the owner/operator of a boutique marketing firm in Western Canada. The primary focus of the firm was to teach SMBs (small/medium-sized businesses) how to leverage social media. Shauna has a healthy love of all gadgetry; her main claim to geekdom - that and her addiction to social media. A day wouldn't be complete without reading, chatting and learning about the latest gizmos, thingamabobs and social media advancements. Shauna is a lover and avid user, who is passionate about the potential social networking has to offer. Mission Statement: The Toronto Lotus User Group’s mission is to build and foster the Lotus community within Toronto by providing support to customers, business partners, and Lotus professionals through education, training and resources.
